Buima Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Buima"; Stock Code: 5543) announced that its subsidiary, GWA (Quantums Energy), has achieved a significant milestone with its epoch-making innovative product, the "minica Smart Dual-Drive Electric Cargo Bike." The product not only won the 34th Taiwan Excellence Award but also claimed the 2025 Golden Pin Design Award. This achievement once again demonstrates the solid strength of the Buima Group’s layout in the green energy and smart mobility sectors. These awards not only symbolize GWA's breakthrough in innovative electric vehicle technology but also highlight the core competitiveness of the Buima Green Energy Ecosystem in transportation electrification and low-carbon city development.

GWA has long been dedicated to the integration of "tri-electric" systems (Motor, Electronic Control, and Battery). Its core capabilities encompass control system development, energy management, and lightweight vehicle architecture design. Through complete system integration capabilities, GWA provides green mobility solutions characterized by high efficiency, high safety, and long service life. In recent years, GWA has further transformed to venture into complete vehicle design and smart electric vehicle integration, aiming to embrace the rapid global rise of Micro Mobility and the electrification of urban logistics.

The "minica Smart Dual-Drive Electric Cargo Bike" (minica eCargo bike) is the latest representative of GWA transforming its tri-electric integration technology into commercial product power. GWA General Manager Wu Chi-hung stated that winning the Taiwan Excellence Award is a significant milestone for the company as it moves toward becoming a complete electric vehicle brand. It also symbolizes that GWA has achieved high market recognition across three major dimensions: product safety, intelligence, and sustainable design.

The "minica" boasts four major advantages: lightweight design, low center of gravity, safety, and high load capacity: a. Enhanced Safety: The vehicle features automatic shifting and a CBS (Combined Braking System), which shortens braking distance by 40% and improves handling safety. b. Powerful Performance: Equipped with dual motors (two sets of 350W) and a large capacity 800Wh battery, providing ample power and range. c. Versatility & Sustainability: The "minica" supports various uses including leisure, shopping, transporting children, or cargo delivery. The frame is constructed using recyclable materials, combining multi-functionality with sustainability concepts, targeting rapid growth markets such as urban family mobility, commercial delivery, and ultra-short-range logistics.

Buima stated that it is actively accelerating the strengthening of its green energy business landscape. From battery modules and energy management to smart vehicles and engineering integration, the Group has built an internationally competitive technical chain, comprehensively laying out the four major areas of "Energy Generation, Storage, Saving, and Usage." This includes:

  • R&D: Self-developed lithium battery modules and Energy Management Systems (EMS) covering industrial control, medical, Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, and unmanned vehicles.

  • Electric Transportation: Entering the fields of electric bicycles and low-carbon vehicles with tri/quad-electric system integration and electronic shifting technology.

  • Energy Storage: Expanding front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter applications with the B.E.S.T distributed Energy Storage Wall system, combined with ESCO services to enhance corporate energy-saving benefits.

  • Engineering: Leveraging Class A General Contractor status and EPC turnkey engineering track records, Buima offers one-stop solutions from design and system integration to operation and maintenance, accelerating the development of the Buima Green Energy Ecosystem.

In recent years, Buima subsidiary GWA has integrated "tri-electric systems" with complete vehicle development capabilities, successfully establishing a differentiated technical threshold in the micro electric vehicle market. GWA can not only independently complete the integration of control, motor, and battery systems but also directly connect with Buima's existing green energy resources to accelerate mass production, quality certification, and market landing efficiency. Identifying the rapid rise of global logistics electrification and AIoT smart transport, GWA positions the "minica" as a high-efficiency, low-carbon solution for urban short-range logistics and family mobility. Europe is targeted as the first wave for overseas market expansion, serving as a crucial propulsion engine for the Group’s smart transport layout.

Furthermore, Buima’s leading lithium battery module subsidiary, Jumbo Technology (Stock Code: 7854), serves as a key strategic backer for GWA. Jumbo provides high-safety, high-efficiency 800Wh battery module mass production technology, enabling the minica to meet international standards for range and safety performance. Through the vertical integration of the Buima Green Energy Ecosystem, GWA has formed a green mobility industrial chain comprising "Cell → Battery Module → Tri-Electric System → Complete Vehicle."

Looking ahead, Buima remains committed to developing next-generation smart electric vehicles and energy storage applications alongside ecosystem partners. The Group will deepen its layout in "Energy Generation, Storage, Saving, and Usage," while actively seeking strategic alliances and partners to elevate global market competitiveness. By transforming towards high value-added directions, Buima aims to create strong operational growth in the medium to long term.
