Buima-KY (5543) has officially announced a major strategic step forward in green energy innovation. On January 7, the Buima Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ProLogium Technology, a global leader in next-generation lithium ceramic battery technology.
The alliance also includes Buima’s subsidiary investment partners: Jusda (7854), an advanced battery module manufacturer, and Tongliang Energy, which specializes in battery applications for electric cargo bikes (E-Cargo Bikes).
Integrating Expertise for a Greener Future This four-party collaboration integrates critical technologies and practical experience across battery materials, module manufacturing, system integration, and application scenarios. The joint mission is to develop and promote the practical application of next-generation solid-state batteries in high-safety energy storage systems and electric cargo bikes, accelerating the global transition to green energy and smart mobility.
Key Milestones & The Road to CES 2026 Buima describes this partnership as a significant milestone, marking the group's entry into next-generation solid-state battery applications. It symbolizes a shift from supplying single products to providing cross-technology, cross-domain integrated solutions.
To showcase the initial fruits of this collaboration, the partners plan to jointly debut a new Energy Storage Wall system powered by ProLogium’s next-gen solid-state cells at CES 2026 (Consumer Electronics Show). This exhibit will highlight the safety and system integration capabilities of solid-state batteries in commercial settings. The group aims to establish a robust supply chain partnership by 2028 to drive commercialization.
Strategic Roles
ProLogium Technology: Provides the core foundation with its high-safety, high-energy-density next-generation solid-state lithium ceramic battery technology.
Buima Group: Leveraging years of green energy experience, Buima leads the integrated design and application development of solid-state batteries for energy storage systems.
Jusda: Focuses on module design and mass production, managing solid-state cell modularization and process management to ensure product stability.
Tongliang Energy: Focuses on system development and integration for mobile applications, specifically E-Cargo Bikes and micro-electric vehicles.
Upgrading Energy Storage: The "B.E.S.T" System The first phase of collaboration will focus on upgrading Buima’s distributed energy storage wall system, B.E.S.T (Buima Energy Storage Tile). By incorporating ProLogium’s "Inorganic Solid-State Lithium Ceramic Battery" technology, the new system aims to eliminate risks of thermal runaway and combustion at the cell level. Combined with Jusda’s local manufacturing and quality control, this creates a complete, Taiwan-centric supply chain designed for high-safety environments like hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure.
Buima Chairman Zhuang Hongwei stated that this entry into the solid-state battery ecosystem will elevate safety standards and technical barriers. The group aims to expand into markets like Europe and Japan, where energy safety and peak-shaving management are critical.
Smart Mobility: E-Cargo Bikes In the smart mobility sector, Tongliang Energy plans to introduce the new solid-state cells into its E-Cargo Bike and micro-EV product lines. This upgrade targets high-speed charging/discharging, extreme safety, and lightweight design—making safe mobility a standard for urban logistics and daily commuting.
